THIS MALIBU IS A GROUND UP, ROTISIERE, NUT AND BOLT RESTORATION/RESTO MOD/PRO TOURING BUILD COMPLETED LAST SUMMER.
SINCE THEN IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN ONLY ENOUGH TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHIING IS WELL SORTED. Rather than get wordy, I will just list the highlights.
LS3/480HP new GM crate engine, new Tremec 6 speed, new Moser 12 bolt 3.75:1 differential, new stage 3 adjustable Ride Tech suspension on all 4 corners, over size sway bars front and rear, new Wilwood drilled/slotted disc brakes all 4 corners, Magna Flow stainless exhaust, rack and pinion steering, Vintage Air, Dakota Digital analog gauges, custom sound system w/mp3, custom handmade leather interior w/custom console and trunk enclosure, Dyna mat through out the interior, finished charcoal metallic frame, finished switchblade silver underbody, smooth firewall, stainless fuel tank, the underside of the car is as nice as the top! Foose wheels, Yokohama tires, all new glass, all new rubber, complete new hardware kit body and interior, complete new wiring harness and fuse block, all control modules and wiring hidden in console, all led lighting inside and out, new stainless, new chrome, all new hardware, new convertible top, vert top frame rebuilt/restored, the exterior was finished with 2 stage, there are 3 color coats, 3 clear coats then wet sanded and 3 more clear coats, every edge and places you cant even see finished, this car was in great shape before I started now its over the top, all the floors were in great condition...which says a lot about a convertible, it was built and owned in California, it moved to Colorado before being sold into New York 5 years ago. I built this car for myself, but as always, things change and its got to go. It is stunning, it was a labor of love...the car looks like a brand new 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS, and drives like a 2014 Corvette! I have collected a few Best of Show awards already. This is a turn key, drive anywhere, drive all day pro touring muscle car that will top 20 mpg everyday your on the road...and by the way it hauls the mail, as they say.
