You are bidding on a one-owner 1985 Monte Carlo Super Sport that has always been garaged, pampered and well maintained, never smoked in and adult driven since I bought the car new in March 1985. The interior is all original with the exception of the headliner which was replaced. The drivers seat has two small tears on the side from normal wear expected on a 30 year old car. This was my daily driver until 1996 and has since been driven only to car shows or simply to keep the battery charged and the oil flowing. Options include: Power steering, power brakes, power windows, rear window defroster, tilt wheel, remote drivers mirror, cruise control, intermittent wipers. The entire front suspension was replaced with a Performance Suspension Technology kit (shocks, ball joints, springs, poly bushings, etc.) and is a pleasure to drive. It rides smooth and tight (no squeaks). As most 1985 Monte Carlo owners know, both black and burgundy factory paint jobs were inferior and had a tendency to present a cloudy finish. Also, the factory installed decals faded over time. In 1995 I had the car taken down to the factory yellow primer and new black paint applied and wet sanded. For a 20 year old paint job I think its held up exceptionally well. The paint does have what I consider minor chips/dings from the road. The car retains its original four speed automatic overdrive transmission (rebuilt) along with the factory limited slip 3:73 rear end. In February 2010 I had the factory 305 cubic inch engine replaced with a new ZZ4 350 cubic inch, 355 horsepower turn-key crate engine. For those not familiar with a turn-key engine, it comes complete (new air conditioner, power steering, alternator, fuel pump, even spark plug wires and the chrome air cleaner!) Looking for a bit of a rush? Simply crank this classic up and listen to the sound of that hydraulic roller camshaft lopping through Hooker headers into an X-box system and dual Flowmaster mufflers exiting 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipes (no catalytic converters here). And you thought a Harley sounded good at a red light! The odometer was zeroed at my request to the dealer who installed the engine in February 2010 as I wanted the engine to display its true mileage. It is completely legal for a car over 20 years old. The current odometer reading is 4, 528 miles so you can see its not a daily driver. I have been honest in describing my car.
