. Current registration with working
signal lights, etc. to cruise around town. In fact, it’s a lot of fun to drive, ripping through the gears, making the rear “chirp. All major rust
repaired, just minor and surface rust on old primer. My plan was to stitch weld
a new passenger-side rear quarter panel skin (new panel skin included with
purchase), finish body work and have it professionally painted along with
updating electrical system, freshening up engine compartment, and finishing the
interior.

“This is a used, project car that is not complete, no frame-off restoration, just mechanically updated and fun to drive. Drive train is in great working order. Power brakes work good and big improvement over drums. The electrical is original with some spliced connections throughout and therefore this is an area that needs attention. Needs body and interior work unless you like the hot rod unfinished look. Solid floor pan and body but does have surface rust that came from the last 15 years; evidence of weld repairs and bondo throughout that need finishing. The rear passenger quarter panel has a lot of bondo which I was planning to repair with a new quarter panel skin (new quarter skin included in purchase) to be welded and finished. Previous owner had Hooker fender-well headers installed and I replaced them because they rattled against the frame too much (noisy) and fender-well openings remain in inner fenders. Standard headers installed. Overall solid driver with performance upgrades.” |
