Rare bird or ugly duckling...maybe even a rare ugly bird. Well, no faux-tina here! What we have here is the real deal. The rust is real and so is the custom paint, or lack there of. She has style and attitude, but no A/C, power windows or stereo. There is rust, and there are dents. It is all fixable...I wanted to do it. Time and life are in my way though. I wanted to bag it with big rims, but she needs a new home. She is currently sitting on 20 Lucid chrome rims with 265/50 r20 tires in front and 275/55 r20 tires in back. The lowering is coil only, and the frame is not cut. There is no rear bench, I wasn't able to find one with the blanket...err, upholstery! The previous owner had cut the wheel wells, as you can see in the pic. I was not worried about it because it was going to get a lot lower. The good stuff: 350/350 combo, 010 block 2 bolt main. Disc brake conversion with drilled, slotted and vented rotors. Power brakes and power steering. The glove box tag shows it was originally a 327 automatic. The lights, brake lights, turn signals, wipers, gas gauge, speedo and temp gauge work. The factory steering box was swapped for a 70s unit for a little better feel. The carb is an Edelbrock 600 and the ignition is an HEI unit.
She is a beast, and she gets looks. I would love to keep it, but too many wheeled projects...or so I've been told.
