I researched warranties and Endurance is the highest rated 3rd party provider. Google Car Warranty Reviews. They are at or near the top of every list. The warranty is transferrable. I have made every routine maintenance based on the provided notices in the car. On top of that I subscribed to Onstar which gave me diagnostic reports monthly. In December, the diagnostic report showed up with a possible issue - I brought it into a dealer and paid $125 for a diagnostic test. They did a thorough evaluation and determined the car was in excellent shape with no issues. This warranty is Endurance's highest level warranty - Supreme. My impressions: I bought this for 3 reasons - to drive a car-pool of 7 kids to school, to avoid getting gouged at the gas station, and to tow a trailer. This was the only car that could fulfill those mission requirements. I sold the trailer before I had a chance to tow it with this vehicle, so never got to test that out. Overall, this has been a great SUV. It's been a go-to road-trip car. You ride high and have the confidence to go over any terrain. I've taken road trips with the family to Utah into a snow storm and did not feel concerned for my safety. The DVD keeps the kids entertained. The seats are plush with generous spacing. I regularly get 21-23MPG around the city. The comparable 2008 regular tahoe gets 13-15mpg. Gas prices are cheap now, but I still like seeing 99mpg when stuck in stop and go traffic. The hybrid technology is still pretty cool - google Green Car Reports. The Tahoe won the Green Car of the Year one year. It's amazing to hear a 6000lb vehicle drive by so quietly. I even get to park a big burly SUV in fuel efficient parking slots (there are a few in Texas). The one thing I'm not a fan of is the Hybrid decal on the side. I had every intention of removing, but I kept putting it off. Now, I'm thinking the new owner might like it. They are just decals - so they can be removed.
