Has up for auction one of the rarest cars ever found in the United States!
The SRT-6 convertible, featured an AMG supercharged engine delivering 330 hp, a front fascia air dam and a fixed vs. retractable rear spoiler. The Crossfire SRT-6 model used the same drive-train, suspension, and braking components as those used on the Mercedes-Benz SLK 32 AMG.
In 2006, the SRT-6 was changed to special order with only one of which was shipped to the US.
We have documentation of this from Chrysler, and this information can be viewed on Chrysler's web site. We have a copy of the build sheet from Chrysler and can send it to interested parties.
The official CarFax shows that in 2006 the one and only left hand drive Crossfire SRT6 Convertible was special ordered by a Texas buyer. It was shipped to the Texas dealer and sat there un-driven for 13 months. It would appear that the buyer did not take the car. After 13 months the car was sold to a dealer in Virginia then to our client. What could be more rare tahn this car!
This like new speed sled came to us from a collector of very rare vehicles. With only 24.547 original documented miles, this car looks and preforms just as it did in 2006.
The paint finish, chrome, wheels, tires, glass and trim are immaculate. The same cane be said about it's interior. The plush swede seats and everything else are like new. Not a blemish anywhere. The original canvas power convertible top is flawless. This very special car never ever saw rain and was always garaged kept. The under carriage is excellent with not a hint of damage or rust. It's as nice as the rest of the car.
According to production numbers, in 2005 there were 1252 such models produced. There are but a handful to be found here in the states. Then In 2006 0nly 69 were produced in Europe. All except one were right hand steering cars.
This car is very fast. She flies off the line, drives straight, shifts smoothly and stops on a dime. Everything including the power top works to perfection. (The car comes with a clear Pennsylvania title. Not a gray market titled vehicle.)
So if you're looking for a car no one else has than this collector's dream car is for you!
We were hard pressed to put a value on this rare vehicle. Our reserve is probably a great deal lower then it should be. Some very fortunate collector is going to actually own this very rare roadster.
