The Chrysler Crossfire concept car features a sophisticated design blending traditional European proportions and handling characteristics with the power and personality of an American performance car.
Built as a one-piece carbon fibre body on an all-aluminum frame, the Crossfire's design seems to be more architectural than traditionally automotive. Similar to the Chrysler Atlantic concept car shown first in 1995, a center peak line, or spine, runs the length of the car and works with the dynamic character lines to give the Chrysler Crossfire its chiseled appearance.
Its compact body suggests a low centre of gravity and stable stance with a long wheelbase (2606 mm) and wide track (1481 mm front, 1521 mm rear).
The Crossfire provides the performance and precise handling that would make this concept a real contender on the street or on the track, said exterior designer Eric Stoddard. The inspiration stemmed from a desire to blend pure sculpture with technology. We designed the Crossfire for anyone who is looking for the thrill of driving. Mileage will change because this is my daily work car.
Blows very cold Air Conditioning, and all Lights and Guages work as they should.
I just bought brand new tires for the front 7/29/15
Rears are ok but showing wear, will need replaced soon...
Mechanically car is sound with no known issues, drive home today :)
The Hydraulic Fin on rear extends out at 63 mph and will automatically close at 38 mph. Really Cool and innovative stuff here!
This car came from Florida and has always been stored in garage in winter, has never seen snow or salt! It is in beautiful condition, with only minor flaws:
Driver seat has wear on side, there is peeling on the passenger side door handle, I only found one small ding right by edge of drivers door and the padding in the hood/engine compartment needs replaced. Slight paint peeling on rain gutter on top above drivers side, That is it, This is a real head turner car, and you will get a lot of people inquiring or commenting on it. The high gloss finish really makes this car stand out! I have owned it for 5 yrs, and it has been a great car but it is time to let someone else enjoy it now. I have changed the oil in it every year in the spring when I brought it out of storage. I am 54yrs. old, this has only been adult driven, and well taken care of. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have, Thanks There are some leaves in the photo's that show up on reflections on car ;( High Gloss Finish, No Rust/ NO Salt! Never Seen Winter Period!!! Garaged Kept/Covered All Winter!
