The 1981-1983 Chrysler Imperials were almost hand built cars with very low number productions. This car is one of 127 built in this color and probably one of 5 with the optional sunroof which was no longer available as an option for the 1982 and 1983 models. THAT IS A RARE CAR! Unfortunately, most of those cars are already in the scrap yard, but fortunately when their time come, they will be even more valuable than anything else, specially if you have a low mileage original car with a WORKING FUEL INJECTION like this one. Those were the first electronic fuel injected cars in America and way ahead of its time in design and technology, with an awesome digital dash and a ride that rival any Rolls Royce. Unfortunately, most mechanics do not known anything about working on those fuel injection systems and 99% of the 81-83 Imperials that still survive were converted to carburator, thus making them less valuable as a collector piece than an original car. If the conversion was not made by the dealer back on the day, the electronic information of gas mileage, fuel consumption, etc. is rendered inoperable, thus making the car less attractive and less collectible.
