Description:
This is a project car but is a very worthy candidate for restoration. It is a nice old 2 door sedan that has the hemi engine and Highlander interior option. I have enjoyed driving and tinkering with it for several years now but need to sell because we are moving. I can deliver the car locally but otherwise, buyer is responsible for any shipping charges. | “Runs and drives but needs restoration work. Engine runs well and doesn't smoke or use much oil. Carburetor needs to be rebuilt. Has new plugs, wires, belts, and some hoses. New heater core and has an electric fuel pump.Transmission has two speeds in high range and is supposed to have two speeds in low range but I can't get it to go in the low range. High range shift and downshift works. Transmission and/or rear end has a whine.Steering has play in linkage and/or steering box. Has new tires on aluminum wheels but everything else seems to be original. Lights, wipers, and horn work. Radio, fuel gauge, dome light and clock do not work.Body is very solid except for rust in the small fender panels in front of the rear wheels. Right front fender was replaced and car was repainted some time ago in the original submarine gray. Surface rust is in the front floors by door sills. The chrome is okay and all there except for the broken "New Yorker" script on the driver side. Good project car.” |
