Price: US $1,200.00
1961 Chrysler Newport. These are pretty rare now and this model is the only year with the fins are very desirable and sought after. 361 V8 with the push button automatic trans. All of the chrome and emblems are there. The gauge pod (which is one of the coolest design ever made) is in excellent shape and the glass dome is perfect. All of the glass is great with the exception of the windshield which is broken. Back seat is in great shape, front is torn up. lights work. car is very complete and the chrome is all in excellent condition. It is however VERY rusted. The frame looks ok but the pans are bad. the trunk floor look decent. it looks like the front of the car was in water because the fenders are rough, the hood is totally rusted out, and the engine has rust up to the air cleaner and I think it is locked up. The ignition clicks but the car doesn't turn over. Not sure of its because the engine is stuck or if there is something else stopping it from turning. I would say this is a parts car unless you are a very skilled expert with a boat load of cash to put into this car. They are valuable enough that it might just be worth restoring. Car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have any questions please ask prior to bidding.
