Chrysler PT Cruiser Dream Cruiser Series 1 (2002)
for sale

Price: US $1,150.00

Description:

This description has been updated today 7/17/2015 to reflect work performed this morning. The 2 front tires have been changed and the car has been inspected by a mechanic. Read the description for details, but I now consider it to be in good drive able condition.
So for sale we have my wife's late uncle's Genuine 2002 PT Dream Cruiser. It Comes with the gold cloth car cover in a drawstring bag. This car was originally purchased in Canada by my wife's uncle so the odometer reflects kilometers instead of miles. Mileage listed is an estimate. Please see photos and condition report above for details. Production Serial number affixed to the dashboard is 4782. $300 DEPOSIT expected with 24 hours of auction's close, balance via cashier's check or cash at or before pickup.
In answer to questions I recently received and in fairness to all who may bid, I'm posting this additional condition report: As a Canadian car, the odometer is in kilometers and not miles. The odometer reads less than 190, 120 so that converts into about 118, 135 miles. the mileage is likely to be just a bit higher because the car is in occasional local use at this time. I see no leaks as the driveway under the car is clean. This car has been in the same family all it's life. My wife inherited it after her uncle's passing. The alternator seems fine, I believe the electrical problem comes from the blinker/light switch lever in the steering column. The lights come on intermittently when the car is parked unless the left blinker is on. My opinion of struts, transmission, and motor under hood is I'm no expert but they all seem to work great. Some rust is in the under carriage and exposed metal parts and the seams inside the driver's door bottom are beginning to show signs of corrosion but none shows through on the outside of the car. The paint look good pretty much all around other than a bump or mar here or there except the rear bumper has some paint cracking/flaking because it was bumped from behind. I'll try to get more photos online soon, but if you are looking for a perfect car ready to run around town but should be checked out buy a certified mechanic before planning a cross country trip! . The car had been sitting awhile, so I charged the battery and checked the fluids. I just took it for a test ride, it started right up and runs well. All gauges nominal. There was vibration from one of the front tires so the 2 front tires have been replaced, now there ride is smooth as silk. This week i have been driving the vehicle often for testing and it always starts right up and runs well. I would have no problem driving it across the state (other than the AC not wot working) now that the tire issue has been solved. The check engine light came on after driving 100 miles or so, that should get looked at. I suppose because the gas is a bit old Just posting this in the interest of everyone knowing everything I can tell you about the car. We can be reached at 9417767524 if any other question need answered.
The car comes with a 1 thick file with various service records etc...
Due to the car's title transfer from Quebec, Canada to Florida, USA Autocheck erroneously lists this car as being salvaged. This car was never salvaged as the French language government mistakenly misreported the car's disposition. The Florida title was issued 1 day before the Canadian authorities reports the error. Auto check and CarFax information is incorrect because they do not have the proper tools to evaluate an imported car's history correctly and misreport the cars mileage to to the kilometer/miles conversion. The path to correct this situation is a bureaucratic rodeo because dealing with a foreign DMV and several reporting companies and having a local mechanic inspect and send a notarized letter to the Quebec (QC) authorities then getting a revised report form the QC DMV and sending that letter to the various car history reporting agencies and waiting for their approval is a task I have no interest in pursuing.
We have sold our home and do not want to move three cars to our new home. No reserve. Please read the description, condition report and view the photos carefully before bidding.

““I have driving this car everyday for the past 2 weeks. We just had the car looked at for a safety check and had two tires put on the front because one had separated. I have just updated the description to reflect the work done on it this morning (7/17/2015) Car is being driven locally so mileage may be higher than listing indicates. Ac not working, problem in light switch causes fog lights to come on randomly and may cause battery to run down after sitting for a week or so. Paint flaking on rear bumper. A couple cracks on top dashboard from sun. Some rust but no holes. Repainted about 2 years ago after a couple kids in the neighborhood scratched the paint in several places. lower section of front grill has damage from hitting too many parking stops. The interior is excellent for it's age and has minor wear on the driver's seat, but no rips or tears but there are two sun cracks on the dash that I have not tried to fix.””
