Description:

1966 Citroen ID 19 runs and drives straight and smooth at freeway speeds. Originally from Texas. New clutch, radiator and spheres. LHM. Rust-free inner structure with decent body in need of full repaint. Interior is complete and functional but could be redone. Headlights, brake lights, and turn signals are functioning, but parking brake and speedometer do not.( both will need lower cables) Skips out first gear unless held in manually by holding onto the shift lever. Another gear box with a good first gear is provided. The car has been driven on regular basis in this condition around town and little jaunts during the summer months for the past 3 years; the car has been amazingly reliable to this point. An inexpensive way to get into a DS/ID. Improve as you drive, or drive it as is. Because of a great rust-free structure an excellent car to restore.
Here are a few questions I could anticipate and could answer:
Will it make a cross country trip? Being an almost 50 years old car and not being restored, I would advise to have it shipped or pick up but it is up to the buyer to make a final decision.
Does it have AC? Early ID 19 was not offered with AC capabilities.
Why are you selling it? I have other cars like any car enthusiast and I am restoring another Citroen so this one will become redundant soon.
What is the reserve? Bid up to what you feel the car is worth to you, it is the best way to enjoy the auction; sorry I will not divulge the reserve.
