Barn find 1936 Cord. This vehicle was recently acquired from the family of a gentleman that purchased it in 1959. Before that, Ford Motor Company owned the car. Although a title could not be found, there is a bill of sale from 1959. The bill of sale lists the Model as a 810, the engine number as: FB856, and the serial number as: 1712A.
This is a pretty sweet car for being almost 80 years old. The motor starts right up & sounds strong. Most of the wiring has been removed because it was bare due to age. This is a perfect car for a restoration. Everything seems to be where it's suppose to & moves freely. There are the usual rust issues in the usual places, but it is by no means a rust bucket. The rear roll pan & trunk area need the most attention, (check out photos).
The car was sanded & no ugly holes, rust through, or bondo was found. After sanding a coat of primer was sprayed to protect the bare metal.
Any questions, thoughts, or concerns, please email me & I will respond.
