Beautifully restored, Bright Red, base-coat/clear-coat Fairlady with the legendary Nissan SR20DE double overhead cam engine and five speed manual transmission...engine and transmission are low mileage, apx 35, 000. Engine internals are stock, but it breathes through a cold air intake and the exhaust is large diameter and free flowing. This car is absolutely rust-free and has just completed a ground-up restoration. Front suspension is completely rebuilt and tuned for street and track days...rear suspension stock and very solid. All chrome and rubber is new. Five tires are new and mounted on genuine Minilite wheels. New period-appropriate Speedhut instrument package. Volvo front disc brakes with braided steel brake lines. New rear hubs. I have the hard-top and soft-top for this car, but have never run it with either, preferring that it be a sunny day, dry weather, open car only. Roll bar just installed. This is the best looking, strongest pulling, best handling example of a Datsun roadster that I have ever seen.
I bought the car last Spring in supposedly restored condition, and what been done was very well done, but it wasn't complete. Over the summer I had the suspension and steering rebuilt, instruments installed brakes upgraded, wiring completed, a remote oil filter installed, competition bushings installed on key suspension parts and a roll bar installed. It is now truly ready to go.
