Description:

Now's the time to own a 240Z if you've ever wanted one. This is one of the greatest Japanese sports cars of all times!
I believe I am the fourth owner of this car. The odometer reads 32, 277. I am not sure this is accurate, however judging by the condition of the car, I see no reason that it could not be correct. The first owner was originally in California. The second owner was a Datsun mechanic who stored it in Alabama for many years. I purchased it from the third owner in Charlotte, NC in 2013.
This car is essentially a time capsule. Even the interior vinyl smells as it would have in the 70s. It has only had one respray. The engine bay and door jams are the original paint. It appears to have had a couple of paint repair spots, on the passenger door and rear hatch (pictures attached). There are two bolts in the front bumper and a large rubber grommet in the driver's side floor board that are missing. I believe there may be a fuse or two that needs replacing as the radio and some of the warning lights (choke, rear defrost, seat belt) do not work. It seems that someone also tried to upgrade the headlights and therefore they added a switch to turn them on (see photo).
This car appears to be all original except for the upgraded motor and transmission. At some point, the motor was upgraded from a 2.4L to a 2.6L... making this a rare find, as this was only offered for 18 months in the 260Z. This 2.6L is upgraded with the round SU carburetors. The sound from these carburetors is one of a kind. The transmission is now 5 Speed, which is great for highway speeds. It still has the 4 speed shifter knob to keeps its original appearance. The original dash pad is in excellent condition with only one minor blemish. It would be hard to find another 1973 240Z in this original condition.
It has always been garage-kept and not driven in the rain. This car is a true driver's car. One couldn't have more fun! I receive complements and thumbs up whenever I take it out for a drive.
These cars are going up in value at a highly accelerated rate. The R432 just recently sold for $253K. Do a little research and you'll see these cars are gaining popularity with collectors and investors.
Own yours today before it's too late... there's not many of these left!
