1978 Datsun 280z all original with only 14, 123 ORIGINAL MILES, showroom condition.
Collectors dream car. The only thing that is not original are the rims and tires on the car, also the fuel pump.. replaced the exhaust system, tires that will go with the car.
No auto body repair ever done... It has the original unused spare tire, toolkit and original inflator.The car does have the original steel wheels, I also have the original wheel hubcaps.It has the original 4 speed transmission; all the lights and markers are original.The car has always been stored indoors. The A/C still works great and blows very hard but needs refilled.also the engine light works perfect.
The paint sticker indicates: sky blue, Engine L28-160360, 2800CC SOHC 6 CYL. Engine, 4 speed transmission, electronic fuel injection, power assist brakes, am/fm radio, with power antenna, rear window defogger, original sticker price $12, 700.
The car is located in Pittsburgh, PA. The buyer must pay any shipping/delivery charges. I would also like for the buyer to inspect the car to make sure it is what you’re looking for.I purchased this car from a local dealer in 1978. Last passed inspection was 1983.. At that time I did a complete tune-up; do to start having idle problem with the car.I found the problem to be the fuel pump filter, , it was all blocked so I replaced it. But I kept all the original parts that did NOT need changed: spark plugs and wires, fuel injectors, air flow valve.-The Paint#510 sky Blue showing its age in some spots. Must see in person to understand what I’m speaking of. It looks like it’s starting to spider web. A couple of small dink on the right front fender (size of a dime) but not deep. A very small pin size rust on the front top of the roof (where the rubber and windshield meet) not shore how it got their due to the car is garage kept! The interior is like new. Dash is perfect, seats perfect, the rugs perfect. No rips anywhere. The knob on the dashboard has a crack but it works perfect. The rug in the back hatch is perfect. Will also include the original service manual. The radio and antenna work perfect. Replaced all the fuel line to the injectors.
I would advise to the new owner to remove the gas tank and look inside to make sure no rust. The car has always had a full gas tank, making sure it would stay rust free. I try to run the car 1-2 miles per week but never in rain or snow.
The car is sold as-is and runs great.
This is the only car of its kind with this low mileage and condition.
