Here is a wonderful example of the classic Datsun 260Z offered in the U.S. only in 1974. This is a single owner, California car that was cared for throughout and in storage since 2007. No rust and all original except for the two-tone paint professionally done some time before 2000.
The vehicle was fully operational prior to storage. In preparation for placing into storage, all necessary maintenance was performed ($2, 589 in 2007 – receipt available) including:
- replaced clutch master and slave cylinders
- replaced rear brake drums, shoes, and cylinders
- replaced fuel lines and clamps
- replaced coolant and vacuum hoses
- replaced drive belts
- replaced all fluids – engine, transmission, and rear differential fluids plus coolant flush
- replaced slide pin bushing on shifter
The odometer reads ~38, 511 and has tripped once for ~138, 511 miles. The body is in great condition with little wear on a well-cared for car. There is a small ding on the left rear quarter panel and two small dings on the chrome front bumper as shown in the photos. There is an area on the hood where the clear coat paint cracked on the surface.
The vehicle does not have a battery and has not been started. The vehicle is being sold as-is and at a fair price given its very good condition.
This is a terrific project car for a classic sports car enthusiast.
