Description:

1983 280ZX non-turbo, 2-seater with T-tops, 5-speed. Clean Title, I have PA Antique tags on it, so I never need to inspect it. I have owned the car for a year, previous owner had it for a project and got bored, so he passed it to me. I've driven it 200 miles and kept it in my garage. This car just needs more love than I have to give.
Interior is in great shape, no tears in seats or carpets, one small crack in dash pad. All gauges work except temp. All electronics work. A/C blows warm air - charge might fix it, but I haven't looked into it.
Engine starts immediately, runs smooth, car runs and drives well - except when the weather is hot. When ambient temp is hot (85 degrees+) and the engine warms up it doesn't want to idle - when RPM falls below 3000, the fuel light comes on and it chokes itself to a stall. Will re-start in a minute or two, but then the whole thing repeats itself until it gets home. If you keep it gassed and drive it hard it runs like a top - stalling isn't an issue until you let it idle for a minute. Haven't had a mechanic trouble-shoot this, but maybe you experts know what's up. Could be minor or major.
Previous owner did some body work and patched some rust spots, but it will need paint and some of those patches need to be re-done. Frame rails have significant rust under floor pan - drivers side frame rail has been reinforced, passenger side has not. All badges are intact and attached. Original rims with Z center caps and new tires.
This car is also for sale locally, so this auction could be discontinued at any time.
