This is my baby! I've had her for over 10 years, garaged the whole time, was a cross between a daily driver and a weekend car for 7 of those years, then the clutch died and it was winter, I stored her, and then never got around to fixing the clutch. Life has other priorities and I can't let her sit anymore. I originally bought her on eBay from a guy in texas, this car is pristine, no body rot, some minor rust but nothing a good sanding and a new paint job won't fix, the car is ready to go, you COULD in theory driver her away, but the clutch needs replacing, the power steering hose has a crack, and probably needs new wires and plugs. But she starts up just fine. I had a transmission guy look at it to get her up and running, quoted me $1, 800 including the install of the original radio. I CAN set you up with this guy and have him do the work ahead of time if you want to fly in and drive her home or something, or have a shipping company come I guess, I've never sold a car on eBay just bought one, I flew to Texas, and bought the car there after seeing how great the shape of the car was. At this point there's a patina on the paint, it can be buffed out and shined. The long story short about the paint job is that when I originally got the car, it had the rear louvers which I thought were unattractive, I took the bolts out as soon as I got it home and it immediately started SNOWING, like as I had taken the last bolt off. I noticed that the paint under the louvers had been worn away and the metal was exposed, SO in a panic I grabbed the only color paint I had, a blue color and just sprayed the spots where the bolts had been, just so she would't rust. The rest of the paint was fine at the time and I drove the car for years like that, I just never got around to it, SO there's some blue paint on the back hatch. I know, silly, but I was a kid then, and after a while I forgot they were even there. The front hood is so impressive no one ever see's the hatch haha. Hey I'm an honest guy, this is the car, it's worth a LOT restored, I could probably sink $3, 000 into it with a paint job and sell it for $8, 000 easy, but I don't have the extra cash, so your lucky day!
Feel free to ask any questions, come on by, the car is in my garage under a car cover safe and sound waiting for you.

“NO body rot which is hard to find in these cars, came with original underbody sealing application which helps tremendously, some minor bubbling at the bottom of the doors, needs a paint job, needs new clutch, new power steering hose, air conditioning update, runs fine, probably needs new spark plugs and wires, garaged for over 10 years, driven for 7 of those years, sat for the last 3 because I haven't had the money for the new clutch, but in WAY better shape than most Z's out there, the interior is beautiful, original radio, comes with a special sway bar for the engine/front struts if you want it. Cruise Control used to work, then stopped, I think it's just the button that needs replacing behind the brake pedal but I can't be sure. Passenger door bumper strip needs re-gluing. Probably needs new struts just because it's been siting but seem ok. Overall restorable condition without searching for parts etc. Dash is supple and only has one large and one small split, excellent interior!” |
