1973 Datsun 240z
4-Speed Manual Transmission, 130, 000 miles on the odometer.
Beautiful Lemans Sunset Metallic Paint (350z color)
This car is meant to be driven. No trailer queen here. She
runs and drives smoothly. I’ve put a lot of time and money into getting her
into the condition that she’s in, but it’s time for a new project. Previous
owners and I have done a lot of work to the car, but it is not a full
restoration, just a great looking, running and driving Z.
The car has no leaks whatsoever and oil changes are
performed regularly without losing a drop.
Features:
Four brand new tires on Konig 15” rewind wheelsEibach performance springsMild Cam (Perfect street manners with a little more pep) Centerforce 1 clutchElectronic ignition conversion featuring a Pertronix
distributor and Flamethrower coil New SU Carbs from Nissan (About 1k miles on them)Brand new spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, and rotor. Full upgraded poly bushing setMSA upgraded fuse box Headlight relay upgrade performedUpgraded 280z alternator Champion upgraded radiatorPainted valve cover Momo steering wheelWooden Datsun shift knobFront differential mount upgrade
Other recent replacements include: Brake booster, clutch
master cylinder, slave cylinder, zinc plated fuel rail, rear wheel bearings, windshield weather stripping, power antenna, drivers side rear trim panel, and
starter.
The car was repainted in 2004. There are imperfections, but looks
pretty great. There are only two areas that need to be mentioned; one is some
bubbling in the rear hatch, the other is a small spot in the driver’s door
jamb. No other visible rust. There were previous rust repairs in the floor that
a previous owner did, like most Z’s, this one has some fiberglass repair. Car
is 98% rust free.
Could be improved:
There are some small rock chips in the paint, I’ve touched up
most of them.Small exhaust leak due to missing one bolt in midpipe Driver’s seat sags a little, also has a few small tearsDome light blows it’s fuse Headliner glue recently stopped holding, needs regluedCracks in dash (like 99% of Z’s, easily fixed with $75 dash
cover) Needs keys made for door/hatchMissing 2 center caps for wheels
Comes with a binder full of paperwork.
I’ve tried to describe the car as well as possible, if you
have any questions, please let me know.
If you’re interested in the car, I am open to showing the
car. I’m located in Bowie, Maryland, 20716.
Please bid only if you have intentions of buying. $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. I will accept the deposit via PayPal. The remaining balance can be paid via wire transfer, cashier's check, or money order, or cash. If you have any questions please ask. I'll be happy to respond as soon as I can. Thanks for looking and good luck!
