Description:
For auction is a 1981 280zx. Runs and drives, has new battery. Overall this car is in rough shape but could be a cheap daily driver, restoration project, or easy track car conversion. Red leather interior is in decent shape for its age, but driver's seat has significant wear. Much of the auxiliary wiring (stereo, climate control, etc.) has been disconnected but is intact. Manageable amounts of rust. Straight 6 still runs strong, car accelerates well and shifts smooth. Right now the car starts without a key, but is ready for installation of a new ignition or an aftermarket ignition, both of which run about $100. Many of the dash panels are missing or have been removed and are in the back of the car.
This car would be a great drive-while-you-restore project, it definitely needs work. My original plan was to tear the entire interior out and convert it to a track car, but I have other projects to work on so I want to let it go.
