Up for auction is my 1983 Datsun 280zx. I've owned this car for the past 8 years and i've put no more than about 2k miles on the car since I've owned it. The paint is original but faded and the interior is also original except for the front area carpet and the digital dash which I changed out. The car has a few rust spots as shown in the pictures but the frame rails and under carriage have no rust. The body has a few dings/ dents but is overall straight and never been in any accidents. I originally purchased the car with intentions of converting it to a turbo but never got around to doing so. I replaced the original transmission with a Borg warner T-5 as well as put in an r-200 differential and turbo half shafts. While I was doing the swap, I replaced the rear bearings in the swing arms and replaced all of the rear factory bushings with prothane polyurethane ones. I also replaced the subframe bushings and diff mount with nissan factory bushings.. The car also has stainless brakes lines and poterfield brake pads. The clutch is the one that came with the car when I bought it and could use replacing, also the windshield has a few cracks. Has the factory radio but it doesn't work.
The interior is in great shape, dash has no cracks and feels nice. I removed the vinyl from the rear panels but never got around to putting it back on. I have the replacement vinyl for it and will include in with the car. The a/c used to work on the car but stopped working after sitting for a while. The motor runs strong and the tranny shifts fine, never given me any problems. I just replaced the hurst shifter (shown in the Pics) with a stock shifter T-5 shifter because it was uncomfortable and not very practical with the factory shifter boot. The fuel pump seems to have sucked up a bit of debris from the tank because its making a bit of noise. I removed it and cleaned up a while back but I think there might be debris in it again.
