1972 Datsun 240Z with original California Blue Plates
2.4L inline 6, numbers matching with SU carbs and all pollution control equipment including air pump. Runs nice and quiet, good power, and no engine smoke.
4 speed manual transmission shifts quiet and smooth.
Vehicle has one re-paint in close to original 113 Green Metallic many years ago, currently driver quality paint condition with some chips and scratches.
Car has some small cracks in dash but has a new full dash cap installed.
Air Conditioning is present and installed but does need work to operate properly.
Factory steel wheels and hubcaps with new tires.
Brakes and suspension are in good working order.
Gauges work except for clock.
Updated new 60amp alternator with voltage regulator bypass.
New windshield installed, new windshield gasket.
Center console was restored and new leather shift boot and rubber shift insulator boot installed.
Aftermarket radio cd player installed and power antenna goes up and down.
Seats are original and could use new cushions and seat covers.
I have 5 Datsun 240Z's and rust is a major issue in Z cars generally. This car is in generally rust free condition as no Datsun 240Z is rust free if it has been driven. The following area have been inspected and found to be almost completely rust free: floor boards, dog legs, rockers, fenders, rear quarters, hatch landing, battery tray, spare tire well, and lower door frames. A few inches of surface rust where the paint is missing near door hinges that can be sanded off in minutes and re-sprayed.
There is no evidence of any prior accident damage.
This is just a solid and original California Datsun 240Z that can be driven as is today. It runs and drives great with no overheating issues.
I will sell to overseas buyers and have sold several cars in the past to overseas buyers. I will assist with storage after vehicle is paid in full.
