This is an original Datsun 240Z. It is very original and the dash is not cracked like most. It has very little rust, just a bit under the rear quarters and has been kept inside while on the East Coast and just a few miles put on during that time. The underside is in good condition, it is a West Coast car. No frame rust issues which they all seem to have.The stereo I believe will work it is an aftermarket but needs rear speakers. The car probably will need a headlight relay, last time it took me 4 X for them to come on. Would need a new battery also and wipers. The interior is very very good and original, the only thing is the driver's side headliner has an air pocket in it. The driver's door will probably need some hinge attention. I just give it a good little push to get out for now and I do have replacement used hinges, haven't had the chance to do replace or may simply need an adjustment. The paint is probably a re-spray perhaps in the 80's. The paint is showing it's age and will need to be re-done to make the car show level. I did not have the car detailed for the pics and never had it detailed except some auto compound and wax which I did. The passenger side front fender will need some attention, it is dented a little and also the roof pic included. I have all the badging/emblems for the car.
Now to try and answer the very questions I would ask...Yes the car can be driven but it does not have current inspections. Yes the paint/body is passable, but with a little paint/bodywork could very well be a 15K looker Z! It runs great! I had a 78 280Z as my 1st car and wanted this one badly. But it may be time to let it go for someone who can totally do it right and enjoy it. I am loosing my storage and it's the key reason for me selling this car. I will help arrange shipping/transportation/pick-up of the 240Z and it is in a location convenient to I-76, I-95 and the PA Turnpike, Phila Septa Bus station and Amtrak's 30th Street Station. .
