Intro:
I have a 1981 DeLorean that I recently got from an old friend of mine. He parked it in his shop where it sat out of the weather for 15 years. It has been inside a nice shop with concrete floors and also had a car cover on it. I brought it to my shop where I have been doing a tune up and trying to get the car to run again. I recently installed a new fuel pump, fuel accumulator, fuel filter and starter. I drained the fuel tank and cleaned it. I also have new spark plugs and wires but have not installed them yet. I got the motor to run just for a few seconds and it'll die. You have to wait about a minute and it'll do the same thing. I have been told next on the list to do is to clean the fuel distributor, injectors and lines of old gas debris then it should run like a champ. I have too many other projects so I am letting this one go. I have a clean Texas title in hand ready to be transferred into your name. The car has an original 26, 139 miles and its an automatic which they only made about a thousand autos! The owner whom I got it from has some paperwork to it but I will have to send that to you separately when he finds it. Comes with both keys. Interior:
The interior is in great condition! Color is gray. Only flaws I see is one crack on the dash located just above the gauge pod. Leather seats are in very good shape as shown in pics. No tears or bad signs of wear. Owners have been non smokers. Comes with the small square floor mats (nothing special). The headliner does need to be replaced though. Driver side left elbow rest is loose and can be fixed easily. If you see parts missing in the pictures don't worry because I have every part to the interior in my shop. The doors have the original leather pull straps as well. Will come with a brand new battery with warranty. Passenger side window only works occasionally, probably needs repair. And the driver side window motor doesn't work.
Exterior:
The stainless steel body is in very good condition. No hail damage or major scratches. The car may look a little dusty in the pics but it cleans up nice. Has only one small ding beneath the driver side front fender which is hard to notice. The glass is all intact and no cracks. The rubber seals for the doors need replacing which is an easy fix. Comes with the original spare tire and wheel also has the jack. The tires on the car are not matching but all in great shape, approximately 80% tread on all. The doors, trunk and hood lift perfect and have new lift supports. The rear bumper has a very small minor mark on it located on the passenger side. You may be able to see it but its hard to notice. The underside of the car looks really good! No rust and no damage. The driver side mirror is missing the glass. The car will come with a new oil filter and oil for an oil change thats due (I never got around to changing the oil.) Also, the breather and other missing parts you don't see in the pics I do have!
