The vision of former GM executive John Delorean, the DMC-12 was like nothing anyone had ever seen when it hit the road in 1981.
Featuring gull-wing doors with a fiberglass underbody, to which non-structural brushed stainless steel panels are affixed, the car became iconic for its appearance as a modified time machine in the Back to the Future film trilogy.
Approximately 9, 000 DMC-12s were produced between 1981 and early 1983.
Powered by a rear-mounted V6, this specific car has a rare
automatic
transmission.
I acquired this car from a Dealer who bought it from a long term ownership from a private collector.
Shortly before the collector sold it, the car received some interior restoration including new carpet and seat upholstery.
The interior on this car is beautiful and looks nearly new!
This Delorean has also received some freshening including four brand new tires, brand new brakes all the way around, new alternator, refinished wheels, new starter and a fresh tune up.
The air conditioning was repaired, essential for a Delorean!
The radio is working great.

The body is in excellent condition and the car even still has the factory spare tire in the front, very rare for these cars!
