1959 DESOTO Firedome 2 door hardtop
This car is a southern car from Georgia. It was restored in the early 80's and then stored in a garage in upstate NY. Car ran great before this winter when the block apparently froze and cracked The car is very solid. Some evidence of new metal in the trunk. Frame is super solid. Lower front bumper and lower rear bumper are rusty, but uppers look like they were rechromed at one time. Paint is not great, but looks good from 10 feet away. I bought this car not knowing the block was cracked and I don't have the time, energy, or inclination to find a motor for it, so I have decided to sell it as is to the highest bidder and take my lumps.I believe the motor is a 1960 383. It is possible that the motor has a bad head gasket and not cracked. ..but please bid as if it is cracked. Car has swivel seat option. Steering wheel needs to be restored.
