1957 DeSoto Firedome for sale. 341 HEMI engine. 3 speed torqueflite auto, pushbutton transmission. This is an original owner car.
The good: Car has been taken down to metal and primed. Dash and door jambs are painted black. New complete floor pans. New complete trunk pan. Front and rear suspension are solid and tight. All wiring and electrical are present and in good condition. Good brakes. New rear, wide-whitewall tires. Seats are in good shape, no tears.
The 341 Hemi runs strong, no smoke, no noise, no leaks.
The bad: needs fuel tank and sender. Transmission needs rebuild. Needs outer rockers. Needs some electrical work.
cracked and pitted glass. Damage on driver rear quarter panel. Needs interior: headliner, door panels, and carpet.
The transmission is out of the car and ready to rebuild.
I would love to see this car on the road. I estimate I can get this car driving for $1, 500. (tank, sender and trans.)
