A very nice looking and running vehicle. Partial restoration done in the undetermined past includes re-paint, new interior including headliner and trunk lining and carpets and seat upholstery. Stainless trim is nice except for a few dents that need to be removed. Bumpers are nice but some re-chroming is needed on small parts such as door handles. AM radio is not operable as well as power antenna and clock. Steering wheel is cracked and needs to be restored and the paint on the dash is original and worn. The body is remarkably free of rust with the exception on a small area in the trunk floor which rusted through due to water leaking in long ago before the restoration. The trunk and doors have new rubber weather-strip now and do not leak. The other two areas of rust are just ahead of each rear wheel; the rocker panel, both inner and outer seem very solid with this exception. The tires are bias ply , old, but with good tread. The car runs well and is fun to drive. In the four years I have had the car, I have replaced the master brake cylinder, wheel cylinders on the left side and the rubber brake hoses. The brake shoes have lots of life left and the car stops well. I have had the power steering pump rebuilt so it no longer leaks fluid. The carburetor has a glitch that I have not been able to remedy (I am not a mechanic) so it hesitates for a second when the choke is off and you give it the gas. Sometimes it puts out some oil smoke on start-up, not always, but it does not smoke when driving. It doesn't seem to use much oil but does drip some on the garage floor. The transmission works like new but also drips some fluid. The engine does not run hot even on 100 degree days. Driving on rutted streets with the bias-ply tires and the feather-light power steering requires some correction, but on the highway the car goes straight down the road. I have only had it up to 70 on the freeway a couple of times but it did just fine. The engine bay is clean but is mostly original. In short, it is a fun car to drive and gets a lot of attention. It has been garage kept all the time I have had it, and I think probably ever since it was restored. This car is for sale with NO RESERVE.
