For your consideration is this wonderful, unrestored, original 1955 Desoto Fireflite Sportsman 2dr hardtop! This is a local car that has been stored in a dry basement away from the sun and weather since 1982! The car is showing 23, 616 miles, I do not know if it has rolled over or not. The car is still wearing what appears to be its original pink & white paint and has its original pink/white interior as well!
This rare Desoto is in pretty nice condition; it is complete and looks good! The car is equipped with its original 291 4v Firedome Hemi engine and automatic transmission! The car also has power steering and power brakes!
All of the glass is excellent; the chrome trim is very nice! The sought after grill is near perfect! The bumpers are nice but could stand to be re-plated and one rear bumper guard is rusty. The passenger side headlight door and drivers side Fireflite emblem is damaged. A good used replacement door and emblem is included!
The body is fairly solid for a 61 year old car, there is some rust in the rear quarters, rockers, and front floor pans. The floor rust is a small area near the cowl. The trunk is great as well.
The car is not in running condition, the engine is stuck, I removed the plugs and have been soaking the engine. The car was in good running condition when it was driven into storage 34 years ago.
I have a 55 Desoto 4dr sdn parts car that will be offered to the new owner for a reasonable price, this car is pretty much stripped. It has an excellent rear bumper and is a near rust free car for patch panels.

I have a clear VA title that will be delivered to the new owner upon receipt of clear payment. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours, the balance in 5 days, sorry no-exceptions. This car is not drivable and needs to be removed within two weeks unless prior arrangements have been made, I will work with the new owner as best as I can.
