Up for bid is a regular cab 1984 Dodge D100 1/2 Ton Short Bed Pickup Truck equipped with the 225 cubic inch slant six engine, 3-speed automatic transmission, factory air-conditioning, am/fm/cassette aftermarket stereo, and sliding rear window. The truck is a solid body and frame 99% rust free survivor with its original factory paint, drive train, and the dog dish hubcaps. Even the exhaust system, which is in very good condition, appears to be the factory (all welded) system. The 5-digit odometer is currently at 56, 111 but it is not known if it is the actual mileage or not since I am not the original owner. The only non-factory modification made to the engine has been an upgrade from the original lean burn ignition to a more modern conventional ECU electronic ignition system. This truck starts, runs, drives, and stops very well with no smoke, leaks, rattles, squeaks, or other noises and is a real pleasure to drive. The only driveability issue is a very slight shake at 50-55 mph which is believed to be caused by an out-of-balance tire which I will have checked this week.
Due to age and normal wear and tear, the following new parts have recently been installed: P235/75R/15 Tires (Bridgestone Dueler A/T), Tinted Windshield (with new rubber gasket), Motor Mounts, Carburetor (with new air and fuel filters), Alternator (with new belt), Starter, Ignition Wires, Spark Plugs, Radiator, A/C Compressor (with new belt), A/C Filter/Drier, A/C High Pressure Refrigerant Hose, Windshield Wiper Buttons, Headlight Dimmer Switch, Oil Pressure Switch, Black Vinyl Flooring, and Door Window Seals. The only interior issues are the gear selector indicator and the ashtray are missing
Overall the exterior of the truck is in amazing condition considering its age of 31 years old. Please look at the photos of the following described paint blemishes and body defects: The original paint has thinned, primarily on the hood and roof, resulting in areas of primer beginning to show thru the paint. Also, there are areas on the lower half of each door and the passenger rear quarter where there is peeling from a previous spot repaint job. There are 2 minor dents on the hood and one on the tailgate. There is also a small dent in the grille surround and part of the driver headlight bezel. The only visible rust is on the top edge of the driver's door where the driver's arm has worn the paint off over the years.
With proper care and maintenance, this truck should provide many more miles of enjoyable driving and is being sold as is - where is with no warranty expressed or implied.
