2006 DODGE RAM 3500 1-TON DUALLY 4-DOOR 4WD LONG BED CUMMINS TURBO-DIESEL TRUCK FOR SALE
2006 DODGE RAM 3500 1-TON DUALLY 4-DOOR 4WD LONG BED CUMMINS TURBO-DIESEL TRUCK FOR SALE!
You are looking at one of the nicest trucks being offered on ebay! This is a 1-OWNER LOADED truck that has just about EVERY OPTION YOU COULD GET! I bought it new on May 18th, 2006, from a local dealer here in Oklahoma City, OK. I bought this truck at the same time I bought a matching red Wells Cargo 2-car enclosed trailer, for hauling my toys to car shows and other events. Life happens, and I didn’t end up using either the truck or the trailer NEAR as often as I wanted to! So, I’ve decided to sell them both. (See the ebay listing for the trailer.) If you want both of them, CALL ME, I’ll make you a great deal on the pair. I can even deliver them both to you, I’ll just load my car in the trailer, and drive it home. (See my cell number at the end of the description.)
The ONLY option that I couldn’t get on this truck was heated seats, since I wanted the cloth instead of leather. It has all the standard power stuff, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes (all 4 wheels), Power Driver’s seat, PLUS, it has the Power Adjustable Pedals, Power Rear Sliding Window, the NAV system with 6 CD changer, and the Power Moonroof. Truly a one-of-a-kind truck!
The current NADA price for a truck like mine is $28, 275 but I am asking a bit over that, for several reasons. First, their website only lets you select EITHER a Big Horn Edition, OR an SLT package, but as you can see from the pics, my truck is BOTH of these. Second, I NEVER “off-roaded” or “went 4-wheeling”, or abused it in any way. I drove this truck like a CAR DOWN THE HIGHWAY, to work and back MOST of its life, and still drive it to work and back daily right now. It DEFINITELY hasn’t “earned it’s keep” like a true hauling rig! I don't know if it shows up from the pics, but I even have aftermarket rubber floormats on TOP of my factory carpeted floormats! (I didn't want to get the new factory ones dirty... Now THAT's picky...!) Third, NADA only adds $1, 050 for having ONLY 95, 630 miles on it, and for a truck like this one, I think that is WAY lite! Fourth, there are trucks similar to mine that are selling for over $30, 000, check out the completed auctions. And last, I did all the service work when it was recommended at the local Dodge dealer, and had the oil changed every 3, 000 miles. The ONLY trouble I had was the automatic transmission, and I fixed that for good. (See description below). Consequently, it is truly in GREAT condition!
Next, there are a LOT of extras on this truck that make it more valuable than just an “average” used truck for sale. Consider all of the following: The Automatic O/D Transmission was rebuilt less than 15, 000 miles ago, and had a 1-year warranty, unlimited mileage, but that expired a few weeks ago. It was $5, 500 (done by a local shop that all the racers use to build their trannys, call me for details, I can put you in touch with the owner), my trans has Koleen steel clutches, Kevlar bands, billet aluminum modulator, medium shift kit, all heavy duty springs etc, and a TRIPLE-CLUTCH BILLET TORQUE CONVERTER. There are only 2, 000 towing miles with my 2-car trailer on this transmission, I made a trip hauling 2 race cars down to the COTA track in Austin, TX last July 4th weekend for a friend of mine, that’s it!  Has $1, 000 of Gauges & Installation. Dual Transmission Temperature (Analog Needle + Digital Readout), 3-In-One Gauge – Has Exhaust Gas Temperature in Analog Needle, + 2 Digital Readouts, 1 for Turbo Boost, 1 for Engine Oil Temperature. These were custom mounted on my driver side windshield pillar right at dash level, so I wouldn’t have to give up my grab-handle to get in and out of the truck. (See Pic #19).  $1, 000 spent recently for all 4 new disc brakes, new rear axle seals, and rear wheel bearings.  $1, 500 spent on the retractable electric running boards. Gives you better ground clearance, and doesn’t drop your mpg when running down the highway like the fixed ones do. Also, looks way cool when you open/shut your door, I get a lot of folks who tell me that and ask where I got them!  $600 Color-matched red spray-in Rhino Bed Liner. Showing a bit of wear, but has held up VERY well after all these years. (There is a “color renewal” that can be applied to make it bright red again, I just haven’t done it, it’s been too cold outside…)  Rain guards at the top of all 4 windows, which allows you drop the window an inch or so in the pouring rain while driving, to get some fresh air. I love them!  All original Owner’s manuals including for the NAV system go with the truck, along with the original window sticker. (It was around $48, 000 + the $1, 500 NAV system.) Also, the original AMFMCD Stereo that was removed when new for the NAV installation goes with the truck. When I get the sticker out of storage, I’ll post a pic on my site that is linked to more pics at the bottom of the page.  The BullyDog performance chip software that I bought in the summer of 2006 also goes with the truck, if you want it. (Was $550 new; I haven’t used it at all since 2008, didn’t have any reason to.)  The above list totals up to over $10, 000 of extras! After typing up all the features and posting all the pics, I think I've covered my truck fairly well, but if you want more details or pics of anything, let me know, I can post more.
I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but there are two 7-point trailer wiring connectors, one above the license plate on the rear bumper, and another on on the inside of the pickup bed, at the bottom of the left-hand side. I use the inside one for my two-car trailer so the cable doesn't drag any paint, and I use the outside one for a utility trailer that uses the 2 receiver hitch under the bumper.
This truck has NEVER BEEN WRECKED, EITHER! There was a small amount of repaint work done due to a few tiny hail dents, and some scratches on the bed and fender flairs. I have the before pics (somewhere), and I can find them if it is a big deal to anyone.
Other than the transmission, the only trouble I ever had was that the A/C compressor was replaced about 5 years ago. It's been a great truck! I do want to mention that I have just had the rear axle seals replaced again last week by the shop that did the work last August, as they were leaking, which someone pointed out to me in Pic24 of the rear axle.
One other thing, I priced up a new 2016 Dodge RAM 3500 dually diesel loaded up like mine, and it was over $65, 000! Plus, they stopped offering the 4.10 rear axle ratio with the turbo-diesel, mine has that as part of the trailering package, so, you can’t even BUY a new truck exactly like mine!
So, there you have it, this truck needs NOTHING other than a new set of tires! I purposefully didn’t buy a new set, as it is my experience that (like me) truck owners are PICKY about the brand and the tread type. Depending on what you are planning on doing with this truck, I could spend $1, 200 on new tires, and they might be the exact opposite of what you want. So, I’ll leave that up to the new owner.
I was asking $32, 500 or best offer (US Dollars only), but I've dropped the price some. I'm open to offers of course, but if you have to borrow the money to buy my truck, please get the approval FIRST. Also, I reserve the right to end this auction early, as my truck and trailer are advertised elsewhere. If you have any questions or comments, either send me a message through ebay, or call me (Darrell) on my cell at (405) 650-2864, I'm in Oklahoma, Central Standard Time.

Wow, I forgot to state that my truck has ALWAYS been a NO-SMOKING VEHICLE!!! Also, the check engine light came on, turns out it was the transducer in the tranny (a known problem for these Dodge transmissions), so I had it replaced along with a new filter and transmission fluid, so it's ready to go for the new owner.
