For sale is a STOCK 1st generation Diamond Star Motors Turbo Tsi AWD with 78, 060 original miles (at time of listing).

1990 was the first full year of the DSM cars. This particular example is the top-of-the-line Talon TSi, equipped with a manual AWD drive-train and the legendary 6-bolt 4G63 Turbo under the hood. Most of these cars were often heavily modified, abused and considered disposable street racers, but in the last 10 years they have begun to disappear and those that are around are usually in pretty sad condition. This example is unmodified, very well maintained, and as of now, it reads only 78, 060 miles on the odometer. It will be VERY difficult to find another example of a 1G DSM, loaded, with low miles, in this condition.
This car is original, and in great condition. No accidents, rust free, clean title.
Only changes from stock are:
Car has new shocks/struts, clutch, clutch pedal assembly (JNZ Tuning), master and slave cylinder, tires and aftermarket wheels (original wheels are included also), battery, lift gate struts. (mostly standard maintenance items for a car of this age)
Megan Racing 3.5” mandrel-bent stainless steel exhaust from the manifold back (original exhaust finally gave out, replaced with an upgraded system)
Factory spoiler was removed (I like the cleaner look w/o the spoiler). It is included (uninstalled of course :) and side pillars and Targa Stripe painted to match body color
VERY rare ALL STOCK, UNMODIFIED 1st gen DSM.
Needs very little to be perfect. Too many toys, one had to go.
Factory loaded:
Power Windows, Power locks, Power sunroof, Cruise Control, Tilt, AM/FM cassette with EQ, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, drivers side lumbar, leather trim, running lights, alloy wheels, power mirrors, rear wiper, rear defrost.- more. The only option not included is the factory CD player.
What it needs to be perfect:
* Air conditioning does not blow cold - might need a recharge, but it is 25 years old, might need some new seals also
* Passenger side window rolls up very slowly, sometimes needs assistance. It works, just slowly
* Needs new headliner and visors recovered.
That's it. Everything else on this car functions as it should. I've been restoring it for about 2 years, and these are the last few things I need to finish, but I'm out of room in the garage/driveway, had to let one of my toys go. :(
