Ferrari 355 (1999)
for sale

Price: US $39,355.00

Description:

Possibly selling my 1999 Ferrari F355 spider; I am listing car with NO RESERVE
for quick possible sale. Here is a brief summary of car since my purchase. I purchased the 355 in July 2010 from Harry Kaufmann Motorcars, located in Milwaukee, WI. The car had 19, 600 miles when purchased, I then drove car home to Lou. KY. The car was serviced with cam belts with 13k miles at Algar Ferrari of Philadelphia in 2007. I’ll start with one of the few negatives with the car; Harry stated after he bought the car at auction, he was rear-ended at a stop light in WI. He stated he was not hurt and the car sustained minor damage to the rear bumper. The car has had the rear bumper repainted and this is listed on Carfax. I have taken several pics of the car and several showing the rear bumper, the color matches and all body gaps are even. The car looks great, but it does have a mark on Carfax (minor damage), therefore I cannot say the car is perfect. The time I have owned the car I have had all fluids checked/maintained including the convertible top hydraulic reservoir (my understanding that is overlooked many times) by my local mechanic. Oil changes with Mobil 1 synthetic (never could find Shell Helix locally- use Mobil 1 in my German cars too). My mechanic is well known with a stellar reputation in the Louisville, KY area. I can give you his name and contact information if requested. I do not expect one to use “my guy”, but if you have a friend or fellow car enthusiast that may know him or of him in the Louisville area, you can take their advice from someone you know and trust. If one is interested in the car, a PPI can be ordered at a reputable shop (no Pep Boys, etc.). Louisville, KY does not have a Ferrari dealership, but arrangements may be able to be made for serious buyer to have car shipped to a Factory Ferrari Dealer, I have that much confidence in the car.
I have only sold two cars (Porsche 911s) on EBay, all the other positives on my account are from buying, but I still have 100%. One of the reasons I may be selling the car is that it hardly ever gets driven. I have only put roughly 600 miles on the car in the past year (still change oil). If you notice in the pics I have my C4S (993) showing. I just purchased the car this past April and love it. I love Ferrari, but I love 911s more. If I receive no bids I will keep the car obviously, it is beautiful and fun with the top down, but I just like the 911 more. I have tried to represent the car as best I can. I will show the car to someone if our schedules will work. This is a great car for the money. This car is for someone who wants a F355 they can drive and enjoy; and/or a person in my income bracket, comfortable, but not wealthy. This car is not for someone who wants an absolute perfect example without one rock chip on the front spoiler, has all books with leather tool kit.
I will list pros and cons for the car, if any questions email me. If you would like a call, please leave your phone number in the email and I will reply a soon as I’m able. I can provide more pics if requested, EBay only allows 24 pics. If anyone is close to Louisville, KY and would like to see the car, I will be able to show the car for appt. only. That way you can see the car, see the top operate smoothly up and down, hear it and test drive (serious buyers only).
Cons
Will need 30K mile service this winter (with cam belts)
Rear bumper painted from minor traffic accident - rear-ended at stop light (showing on Carfax)
Front bumper does have some small rock chips
The back part of the ash tray, end closer to the firewall in the car, is cracked. When interior parts taken out and shipped to have them redone, part cracked while reinstalling. Most people don't notice it, but I do and wanted prospective buyers to know. I have tried to replace, but ash trays are hard to find. I have seen a carbon fiber cup holder on EBay to put in its place, but have not done so.
DoNOT
have Original window sticker, factory took kit, coupon book; owner’s manual is from a ’97(still valuable book and works with ’99)
