In 1987, three years after the introduction of the Testarossa Ferrari started to develop its successor, the 512 TR (5 litre 12 cylinder TestaRossa). The 512 “red head” pays homage to the sport racing 250 Testarossa from the late 1950s. Deep strakes that run the length of the car feed air into the side-mounted radiators. With a 4943cc, 48 valve, flat 12 engine and 428 horsepower, this car goes 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired.
This Euro Spec 512 was originally sold and delivered in Switzerland before arriving in Canada in 2007 with the last owner. The Ferrari flat 12 engine, first introduced in 1973 and sharing much of its design with Ferrari’s flat 12 race engines, has been meticulously maintained. Recent service history include the ‘big’ service as completed at the Ferrari dealership.
