This classic 1978 Fiat 124 Spider convertible is a great collectors vehicle. I purchased in 2006 and invested in its restoration. The motor is strong with only 96k miles and was recently rebuilt. Many upgrades have been installed in the past few years. It's been a fun project car for me and cruising with the top down through the canyons to the beach here in southern California has been a real treat. All mechanical & electrical components are working and recent upgrades include a brand new aluminum racing radiator, brand new electronic ignition, brand new high performance carburetor, new hoses, new filters, new emissions equipment (including new muffler & catalytic converter), all new ball joints, new ignition switch, a brand new convertible top and a new dashboard top. There are typical signs of wear on a car of this age. It has minor scratches, some glaze cracks in paint, wear on seat bottoms and other signs of wear here and there. Near all replacement parts are available at VICK AUTO SPORTS who have been a great ally in my work to restore this vehicle. Over the past few years I have seen vintage Fiat Spiders from this era that have been fully restored sell for prices between $15, 000-$20, 000 AND with Fiat re-issuing the spider next year, these vehicles will clearly become even more collectible and valuable. in 2006, I purchased this car for $6, 000 and over the past 10 years I have invested another $8, 000 in improvements to the car.
