Description:

For sale, a Fiat 500 Vignale Gamine
Rebuilt from the ground up in 2006 with many new parts - including a new interior, rebuilt engine with enlarged cylinder head which improves drive-ability and a new synchronized 4 speed gearbox. It still is in a very good condition and beautiful to look at.The engine starts and runs perfectly, and the car is happy to travel to any distance. The clutch, gearbox, suspension, brakes and electrical systems all work very well. The tires (135/80-12) are old but without any significant wear.
The body is in a very good shape - the paint is clear and deep without fade, the car was always kept covered in an under-ground parking. There are very minor cracks in the paint near the rear chrome roof bar. Additional wear on steering wheel (was not restored) and very minor wear on driver's side carpet. Seats are in perfect condition. The car has radio antenna slot near the front windshield which isn't used.
The roof mechanism wasn't restored and is in original state. The detachable roof rail will also need a minor repair. I chose to drive the car ONLY when dry, so it hardly drove over a wet road and never over an icy / salt covered one.
Sold AS-IS without warranty, so please feel free to ask as many questions as needed. Please browse carfuly through the photos and if you need additional information don't hesitate to ask.
You can see the restoration process along with many photos and technical information about my Gamine in my website: Vignale Gamine

About my Vignale Gamine
The car was built as a rolling chassis with a 110F engine at Fiat's Mirrafiori in 1968. Given the carrozzeria code “s/c”, it wad sent to the Vignale factory where a unique 2 door spider body was installed. The Gamine was Alfredo Vignale's pet project, designed and manufactured in his factory as a first mass-produced car. The Vignale business went bankrupt and sold to DeTomaso in 1971.It is believed that less than 300 Gamines were made, a large portion of them for the UK (RHD).

“1969 Fiat 500 Vignale Gamine, fully restored in 2005-2006. Still in a very good condition, starts and runs smoothly and reliably every time. Has a 600 cc engine (enlarged cylinder heads with the original 500 base) and a synchronized 4-speed gearbox.Body shows very light wear. The vinyl roof wasn't fixed in the restoration so would need attention before use. Has a very rare original "Vignale" horn button with the optional sports steering.”
