1979 metallic blue Fiat Spider 2000 Convertible that has 98, 800+ original miles on it. Four-cylinder, five-speed, carbureted car that runs and drives. Has decent braking power, though the diaphragm in the brake booster needs replaced. Originally a California car until we bought it five years ago and brought it to Wyoming (where it has spent most of its time in indoor storage), so it doesn't have any rust. Have only driven it around town a little, so it should probably be transported with a trailer as we cannot vouch for it's long-range road worthiness.
Bought it as a project to finish.
Car was recently painted when we bought it, has a like-new convertible top, and like-new dash pad/dash cap; needs various and sundry things done to it here and there, but the interior needs the most TLC. Obviously, the previous owner was in the process of making it into a nice little car. We worked on the car a little with plans to finish it up nicely but got tangled up in other projects, so it has just been sitting in indoor storage most all of the time we've owned it. Has a Wyoming rebuilt title, and being pre-1981, there's no Carfax or VIN lookup that we've been able to find that gives us any information on the car. Not really sure how it got such a title in the first place--other than it was one of those cars donated to a charity to be sold at auction. Doesn't show any signs of major damage.
Other things to know about the car include the following:Fuel pump replaced.Radiator repaired.New battery.New bushing kit installed in gearshift.New overflow tank.Two rear tires are matching and new (rubber teats still on them).Front tires mismatched in tread, but passenger side tire is visibly new; driver's side tire has decent tread.There is a set of extra (tan-colored) kick panels with speakers sitting in the trunk.Badges, small parts in plastic bags the previous owner didn't put back on the car after repainting it are in the glove box and are included with the car). 125 watt amp mounted in the trunkGlove box has Panin Farina badge (two other Panin Farina badges in loose parts that come with the car; the two loose badges aren't in great shape)The seats have generic seat covers on them (came that way when we bought the car) as the original upholstery is rough (broken up on the seat bottoms)Second gear is a little temperamental.There's a line of rivet holes from the front fender to the back fender on each side for mid-door trim that wasn't with the car when we bought it. This is not highly visible in the pictures. Car has no radio (didn't have one when we got it).Car is sold as is and is represented here to the best of our knowledge as we really never got around to digging into it.

A deposit of $500.00 is due within forty-eight hours of the auction's close via PayPal; the balance is due no later than one week from the auction's close. If picking up the car in person, the balance is due in CASH. If having an auto transport service pick up the vehicle, the balance is due via mailed cashier's check; the vehicle WILL NOT be released until we've researched the bank upon which it is drawn and have validated its authenticity with that institution.
