I have for auction a Rare 1980 LE limited Edition Spider 2000. ....These cars are one of the most desirable Spiders out there . .Google the 1980 Limited Edition for more information. ....This car is #776. ....It has a new engine and runs well, no smoke, leaks or oil burning. Clutch and brakes are new as well. .the car needs a cosmetic restoration but coud be driven as is. ..I have removed all the carpets and sound deadening to search for rust in the floor pans and rockers as well as the trunk. .I FOUND NONE at those locations. .I have found a dime size bubble on the rear deck lid and some rust through at the rear drivers side wheel well ( it would need to be patched prior to paint). ...The car is missing one #badge on the passenger side and also one 14 Iron Cross wheel. .. .the dash badge and driver side badge are present. .. ..In my opinion the car needs paint, interior and top...but all of these are serviceable. .. .and the car can be driven as is and looks ok. ....the body is very straight. ...ask questions or call for info and additional photos...I will get any photo you ask for. ... | “I have for sale a 1980 "LE" Limited Edition Spider 2000. If you don't know how rare these are "Google" it.....It has a new engine, Transmission is good as well as the rear end and brakes......It could be driven as is but I had planned a cosmetic restoration on this car. The paint was new when I bought it but the shipper put a cart above it on the trailer and leaked brake fluid across the deck lid, top and hood...(see pictures)....I have pulled all the carpet from interior and trunk searching for rust and found nothing but surface rust. It does have (2) rust issues, 1, at the rear driver side fender bottom...(looks like they painted over it) and 2, a dime size bubble on the rear deck lid. This is/was a California. I have had it inside always since I bought it. The interior and top are useable but I would replace them as well as the carpet.
