For sale is my 1977 Fiat Spider. I have had it for about 8 years. I have done a lot of work to this car, and have really enjoyed owning it and driving it. It is a fun car to drive, it is a really affordable way to get yourself a fun little roadster, you will get a lot of looks and a lot of compliments for it. Overall it is in very nice shape.
Car is back up on eBay, I thought I had it sold locally but buyer fell through.
In no particular order:
Rota Wheels with 15 inch Yokohama S-drive tiresClutch has less than 500 miles on itBrakes have been totally redone with new calipers, rotors (slotted and drilled in the front), and pads less than 3 years agoNew performance exhaust system from Auto Ricambi, headers all the way through the muffler was installed 2 years agoCar has been de-smogged but I have all of the equipment if you want itBrand new custom leather and cloth upholstery done by Brady Jones. If you haven't seen his work, it is amazing. It is black leather (not vinyl), with a cloth insert. He rebuilt the seat frames when he did the upholstery work so you sit nice and straight and the seats are comfortable.New carpets last year.New sound and heat insulation from Eastwood installed with the carpets, I also etched and painted the floor with POR from Eastwoods.New center consoleShocks and springs are 4 years old.New battery this spring.Crane Cams electronic ignition, and new coil as well.Modern relays installed to protect the ignition, wipers, lights, and fog lightsFog lights installed 4 years agoWater pump and timing belt done 5 years ago
Body work and paint were done 6 years ago, and the car has been garage kept ever since.New canvas top was installed the same time as the paint. I cleaned and treated it last year to keep it looking new. The back window is clear.
Now for the one issue:
Car has a small oil leak in the oil pan near the drain plug. After I changed the oil a month ago it still doesn't need to be topped off, it is more of an annoyance than anything. I was told a brass washer would fix it, but I've been too busy to get one and frankly its so minor it hasn't been worth the time or effort I figured I will do it at next oil change.
I will include a car cover, and also a cockpit cover for when you park and don't want to put the top up.
I have loved this car, as has my family and mostly my dog. I am selling because I don't drive it enough and am getting ready to buy a car for my son. I don't need to sell it, so no low ball offers.
I have it registered as a classic or historic vehicle. The insurance is dirt cheap, 130 dollars a year and no inspections are required here in NJ. Like I said, its a great way to get into having a fun classic roadster without breaking the bank.
