1975 Fiat Other

Fiat Other (1975)
for sale

Price: US $100.00

Description:

First up, the reserve price

on this auction is $3, 700, which basically covers the costs of my initial vehicle buy and the new wheels/tires. Just wanted to put that out there because I know sometimes it can be a mystery.
Up for sale is my 1975 Fiat Spider that runs well, is fun to drive, and gets lots of looks when she is out and about! I've had her for a few years and she's always been garaged and has never seen rain since I've owned the car. Before I bought the car she was owned by a car collector and stored in a warehouse for about 10 years. While there is some surface rust in a few spots, the trunk lid has cosmetic cracking of the bondo, and some rust under the driver's floorboard (all pictured) the car is very structurally sound.
I also believe it was redone in terms of exterior and interior at some point in the late 1980s because it has fiberglass front fenders, has been repainted and has new seat upholstery. The interior is in great shape aside from cracking on the dash pad. It even has nice cloth seats instead of vinyl so it doesn't burn your legs on summer days!
I drive it to work and on errands but it's most fun to drive on back country roads. It could be driven home today or you could completely restore it if you had the interest.
I have upgraded several things over the last few years. Below are some of the details on the car, the upgrades I've done, and extra parts that come with the car.
The car itself
•1975 Fiat Spider 124
•1.8 L Dual Overhead Cam Engine
•5 Speed Manual Transmission
•4-wheel disc brakes
Upgrades
•Ziebart undercoated
•New Rota wheels and Yokohama S-Drive tires (Over $1, 100 in new wheels and tires that have less than 1, 000 miles on them)
•New high output 95 amp alternator
•New hidden Bluetooth radio with iPhone/iPod connection
•New fuel pump
•New coolant hoses
•New muffler
•All Italian gauges
•Newer spark plugs and wires
•Serviced and tuned up this spring
Extra Parts
•Original wheels, hubcaps, and tires (tires are old and say Made in West Germany on the site)
•Trunk lid and luggage rack
•Two sets of kick panels for the foot wells (one with speaker cutouts and one without)
•Various other parts that I kept from a former parts car are also included
Again, the car is in pretty good condition for one of it's vintage and runs well. I'm not a mechanic but the mechanic where I take her specializes in older Fiats and has told me she is in good shape mechanically. I only drive it on nice days because I like to take care of her and keep her out of the rain. She's a good little car and I will be sad to see her go but I just don't have the opportunity to get the car out of the garage often enough. I'd rather someone else get some enjoyment from this little Fiat rather than keeping her locked away in the garage.
I will end the auction if the car sells locally first. Buyer is responsible for pick up in 41048 (near Cincinnati, OH).
If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking!

“The car is used but is in pretty good condition for a vehicle of it's vintage. There is surface rust on a few spots on the car (mainly top and driver's door), body filler above the wheels, cracked body filler on the trunk lid, and rust under the driver's floorboard (all shown in photos). The car seems to have been restored at some point in the late 80s and has been completely out of the weather for about 15 years. I bought the car out of a warehouse where it was stored for aprox. 10 years in Cincinnati so it's a bit of a barn find. Since I've owned the car it has been garaged and never driven in rain or bad weather. The car was also undercoated by Ziebart, which is why a majority of the under body is in great shape. The windshield wipers don't operate. Sometimes the ignition wires behind the key need to be jiggled to get the car to start. This doesn't happen very often and there is a light that indicates it. The top has a rip in the rear vinyl window.”
