The Truck: 2001 Ford Lightning. 1 Owner, 39, 000 miles. Automatic, Factory Supercharged V8. This was the fastest Production truck in its time. We have the Original Window Sticker and Original Sales Catalog. The SVTOA Hat that was supplied to the owner with the purchase of the truck is sitting on the center console. The original keyless entry Key Fob still in its sealed package. The truck is in Showroom New Condition. Truck is Stock. There have been no modifications done to this vehicle except for a painted to match Hard Tonneau cover and a Bed Rug bed lining kit. The rest of the truck is untouched. These trucks are currently bringing almost the same money now as they did brand new off the showroom floor. We have priced this vehicle at Average Retail Pricing. That puts this 1 owner, 39k mile truck, in stock form in the neighborhood of $5-$10K less than anything else comparable on ebay or any internet listing at the moment.
We purchased this vehicle from the Original Owner. A 67 Year old man who has had a fantastic collection of Ford vehicles in his time. He purchased the vehicle brand new and was the only driver of the vehicle its entire life. The truck was on the road for 5 months out of the year then stored for the remainder in a climate controlled garage sitting on a large piece of carpet. The truck was used to go to the Golf Course and 1 Car cruise a week. The only thing that has ever been in the bed of this truck is a set of golf clubs. The truck has never seen Salt or Snow and was not driven if Rain was in the forecast.
The Body: The paint and body is a 9 out of 10. Minimal imperfections anywhere. No scratches, No dents. The paint shines and the water beads and runs right off of it. The pictures that we have provided of the vehicle are before the vehicle had even been detailed. We did nothing more than wash it quickly to take these pictures. The vehicle is being delivered professionally detailed inside and out. The level of detail it is receiving is the same level we detail our vehicles to before we enter them in a High end Car Show. The truck does have a Hard Fiberglass Tonneau Cover on it. It has been painted to match and the color is spot on. The Cover was wet sanded perfectly to match the trucks Factory finish.
Interior. The interior is flawless. There are no rips, No stains, No discoloration of any kind. No Odors. Everything inside of the truck works as it should and nothing shows any signs of wear. The factory carpeted floor mats are in perfect shape and show minimal signs of use.
Mechanically: The truck is 100% mechanically sound. It starts, runs, drives as it should with not so much as a hiccup ever. All of the gauges work as they should and are accurate. The truck has had a rear caliper on the drivers side replaced. The rear brake pads were replaced at that time. The tires are brand new and were replaced with top of the Line Toyo's. They were replaced due to flat spots in the original tires from the truck sitting. Truck has been gone through front to back. Truck will be sold ready to drive with a fresh oil change right before Buyer takes delivery.
Vehicle Flaws: These flaws are so minimal that nobody would ever even take the time to describe them. Guaranteed most people would never even notice them. We went over this truck from front to back and while critiquing it we noticed them so we are listing them. We have provided pictures of anything that we found. 1. Drivers side front edge of the hood has 2 extremely small blisters. 2. Top of the radio bezel the black plastic has a small scratch less than an 1/8 of an inch. Again these imperfections are so minor 95% of people would never notice them.
Selling Terms: The vehicle is for sale locally. We do reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. The Vehicle does not have an existing Factory Warranty. The warranty company that we deal with does not offer coverage for this vehicle. Due to this we must legally disclose that this vehicle is being sold As-Is. We have done our very best to go over this vehicle and describe it as best that we can. We will allow a 3rd party to look this vehicle over for the the buyer if they cannot make it here in person. If you are local then please come and look at this vehicle in person to see how truly clean it is.
Bidders: If you are an Ebay member that has less than 10 as a feedback score you must contact us before placing a bid. If you place a bid and do not contact us we will not approve your bid regardless if you are the winning bidder or not. Other Buyers please keep this in mind. We have had an issue with brand new Ebay accounts with no Feedback Score bidding and winning auctions and then not completing the sale. This costs us money and wastes everyone's time so we have no choice but to implement this.
Payment: $500 deposit within 24 hours of end of auction. Full payment made within 48 hours unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon prior. Cash, Credit, Financing with great terms. If you need financing you must contact us to start the process and get approved before the end of the auction. I will accept Deposit and Final Payment with a credit card. If you choose to use a credit card I will process it through the business and a receipt will be generated to you immediately. We have found this to be the easiest way of completing transactions. This Vehicle is priced to sell at Average Retail. That is considerably less than any other Ford Lightning currently on Ebay that is comparable as well as any other comparable truck we could find on the internet.
Shipping: We will ship this vehicle. Vehicle will not leave our possession until all payments have cleared. This includes bank checks and credit card transactions. Shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. We will help as needed. If the vehicle is shipped we will document the entire process as the vehicle is being loaded onto the carrier and leaving our possession. This documentation and pictures taken are sent to you immediately. This protects both the buyer and the seller if any damage occurs during the shipping process.
