You are bidding on a very rare, original last-year (1977) factory Ford F-250 4x4 High Boy, the last of an era. Ford only made the High Boy for the first three months of the 1977 model year, This is a genuine High Boy with divorced transfer case, power assist steering, power front disc brakes, 460/Auto, and trailer towing package. Widely considered the most desirable of all Ford 4x4 trucks, the '77 had all the available refinements.
This truck just underwent a fresh restoration, which began with a rust-free original body still wearing its' original and rare Dark Jade Metallic paint. The entire interior, bumpers, grill and surround, and every piece of trim was removed from the truck. The bodywork was then performed to a very high standard, and the truck professionally refinished in a high-quality two-stage base coat/clear coat in the original Dark Jade Metallic color. The trim was then polished and sealed, the grilles restored, the rear bumper restored, new chrome bumper installed, the mirrors restored, new front windshield and back glass, new window rubber gaskets all around, new door glass wipers and felt, new door weatherstripping, emblems restored, new wipers, antenna, and more. The hood was removed during the repaint, and the underside painted as nicely as the rest of the exterior. The exterior looks absolutely beautiful, as you can see; the color is a dark emerald green metallic. I have taken one picture in low-light so you can see how the truck looks almost black out of the sun... this is a very beautiful color.
The seat was professionally upholstered in correct reproduction black vinyl and Comfortweave materials, a new fitted black carpet kit installed, the seat belts restored, the steering wheel restored, new door panels, cups, and arm rest pads installed, the sun visors restored, the rear view mirror restored, the gauge cluster cleaned and detailed (all gauges work), a new headliner installed, the headliner trim restored, the dash and dash pad restored, etc. In short, the interior looks new, and is gorgeous.
The undercarriage was treated to a full cleaning and body-on-frame detail restoration; the underside looks fantastic. The original steel wheels were restored, and wear the original hub caps, and great 35 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain radial tires, the perfect size for this truck. I think this look beats anything you could put on it as an aftermarket wheel.
The engine is the big 460 4v, backed by the heavy-duty C6 automatic transmission. The original divorced transfer case and big Dana front and rear axles are also present. The truck is in turn-key reliable running and driving condition, with good brakes, steering, etc.
Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc.
I must reserve the right to end the auction early. Please feel welcome to contact me at 360-936-9257 with your best offer; if the deal is right for both of us I can end the auction for you.
Please be prepared to remit payment within 3 days of auction's end via deposit into my Bank of America account, bank wire transfer, or MAJOR bank cashier's check (must wait until check clears issuing bank before vehicle and/or title are released). While every effort is being made to represent the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 39-year-old classic, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make myself and the vehicle available to your carrier on short notice. I have secure and safe storage until you find the right carrier; that courtesy is on me.
Please call Tim at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have, and thank you for bidding!
Truck is located in Vancouver, WA 98686. Expect to pay ~$600.00 for West Coast, ~$1, 000.00 for Mid West, and about $1, 300.00 for East Coast transportation, based upon my past experience.
