Price: US $50,000.00
You are bidding on a very unique, one of a kind fastback. This started life as a very rust free v-8 car. The body kit on this car has been reworked from its original form as most of the Eleanor kits do not fit that well from inception. I found a master bodyman that had made a career restoring early corvettes and doing amazing repairs with fiberglass. The fit and finish of the kit is second to none. The paint is PP&G Deltron 2000 base coat and Concept 2021 clear. The stripes are hand laid not a stencil and are true dark candy red over a silver base. The wheels are custom built by American Racing and the centers have been painted in the exact color as the stripes. The suspension is completely re-built using Scott Drake control arms, Global West lowering springs and Unisteer rack and pinion. The rear end is a custom built Currie 9 inch, powder coated, with custom Dutchman axles, a 3.89 locker and Summit Racing lowering leaf springs. The car has been mini-tubbed to accommodate the 285/40/17 rear tires that tuck under nicely. The Glass and trim are exceptional with only very minor scratches on the passenger and rear windows. Front glass is new. The engine is a 347 stroker from a late model 5.0 one piece block, 11.1 compression forged Speed Pro pistons, all forged Scat rotating assembly, Trick Flow hydraulic roller cam, roller valvetrain, fully ported and polished Brodix Track 1 heads done by E.P.D. Ignition is an HEI with MSD wires. An electric fuel pump feeds an AED H.O. series 650 carb that has been flow tested and jetted perfectly for this motor. The motor makes 488 horsepower on pump and made 505 on race fuel. The trans is a Tremec 5-speed that has been reworked with an improved front bearing support and heavy duty gears and synchros. The clutch is a Mc Cloud pro series with a hydraulic throw out. The drive-train in this car has less than 500 miles on them. Cooling is handled by a high flow water pump, griffin aluminum radiator and thermostatically controlled automatic dual fan set up. The interior is the new TMI Sport R series seats and matching center console. Carpet is new as well as dash and headliner and door panels. Dyna-mat sound proofing was laid prior to installation. The trunk is completly finished and carpeted. The wiring has been updated and greatly improved. All lights, turn signals etc.. work perfectly. All factory gauges function perfectly. Braking is handled by Wilwood 4-piston front and rear with matching master cylinder and its stops on a dime. No leaks of any kind and it fires up on the first click every time. Coated hedders route the exhaust via 3 inch pipe and custom single chamber flowmasters. This car is a blast to drive and gets massive amounts of attention everywhere it goes. It drives great and pulls hard through each gear. It is very well balanced and the horsepower and gearing are matched perfectly as in each gear is very usable. In 5th gear at 80 the motor is spinning 2400rpm's and pulls hard to 7, 700. In short this car can be a handful or as tame as you choose to drive it. It is smooth with no vibrations, squeaks or rattles. Please do your research before getting involved in the sale of this car, ask who you need to ask prior, If you have any questions please ask BEFORE you bid. As you can imagine I am looking for a good chunk of change for this car. With that said I am not in need of selling it and plan on taking to Barrett-Jackson in January if I cant sell it first. No trades please.
