In 1990, a young woman who lived near Cleveland, Ohio walked into her local Ford dealer and proceeded to place a retail order for what has to be one of the most unusual Fox bodied Mustangs built. She desired very little in options and so this car is notable for what it does NOT have. It does NOT have air conditioning, power windows, locks or mirrors. It does NOT even have rear window defogger lines on the glass.
This car was ordered to be a hot rod and WAS ACTUALLY BUILT ON APRIL 17 OF 1990! That date is considered the birthday of the Mustang beginning in 1964. She did not get to enjoy her car for a long time and sold it to a unknown Mustang collector. By 1993, showing almost 7, 300 miles, it had relocated to Florida where it was used as a weekend car and modified. It was stored with the new owners airplane in his hanger and luckily, the original tires and wheels were saved when the tread was thin! It was brought to Kansas City when that owner relocated where it was found listed in the local paper. It was purchased in 1998 from him and has been here ever since.
The car is very solid and has never been wrecked and has all VIN stickers on the body panels. There is no rust in the typical Fox body locations and will turns heads of fellow Mustang owners who realize what an unusual car they are looking at.
The car has had modifications such as a Paxton supercharger(no longer installed) and Hurst shifter still on the car. It currently has Ford Racing shorty headers(originals included), Ford Racing h-pipe(originals included), full Flowmaster exhaust with 2 chamber mufflers and black finish tailpipes in stock location, 3.73 ring and pinion(2.73 was original), cast aftermarket differential cover and Ford racing aluminum driveshaft. It has two sets of 10 hole wheels and tires- for shows, the original set with ORIGINAL VR Gatorbacks that went down the line. For driving, a pair of BFG drag radials(rears) and BF Goodrich G-Force Sport radials(fronts).
There are many spare or original parts such as original shocks removed, new Motorcraft plug wires and distributor boot, original Ford AM-FM radio(Ford AM-FM cassette installed) along with the above mentioned big parts that go with the car so if you want to drive it home you need a chase vehicle for the spares! Includes original owners manual and warranty card plus key tag, deluxe Marti report, printed Carfax history, original 1990 Mustang brochure and paperwork collected from the Florida owner.
