You are bidding on a nearly rust free 1949 Ford Club Coupe from Montana that comes with a near complete 1950 Ford 4-door parts car. This is the most desirable model; hot rod enthusiasts are looking for this model! The rear vent windows are what makes it a club coupe. The front end pictured is from the 1950 car. We have one title; for the 1949 coupe car.
While this car appears rusty at first glance IT ISN'T; what you see is SURFACE RUST ONLY. The hot Montana sun has burned much of the paint off but this is a VERY SOLID restorable car! The only rust I could find is located in the trunk spare tire well. The roof, rockers and floor pans are all solid.
Much restoration work has already been done. The dashboard (from a more desirable 1951 model) has been beautifully restored and completely rewired. The dash and parts have been blasted to bare metal, repainted or polished as needed. All work was done by a restoration shop costing nearly $1600. The steering wheel, horn cross bar and steering column, heater box and associated parts, and pedal assembly have all been restored costing another $1400. Additionally we have approximately $1200 in new unused small parts still in the bag and boxes including the new rear bumper pictured. There are two unrestored clocks and two radios. DO THE MATH, there has been a lot of money already spent on the restoration! THIS IS A GIVE AWAY PRICE. If you are looking for a restoration project this is a great way to start your project.
As seen in the pictures the front clip is pictured separate. All parts are rust free, other than surface rust, there are no holes to be found anywhere. The grill, bumpers and trim are there, and there are many extra parts. There is no hood with either vehicle. The original seat frames and trim are included for both cars. There is also a really cool dealer tag on the parts car with only two digits (87) for the phone number! We are willing to put the car together as needed for shipping purposes for a reasonable fee. Additionally the buyer does not need to take the parts car, which can be picked for parts and left behind if desired.
