1937 was a year of significant change for Ford. Instead of using the services of their recently appointed director of design, E. T. Gregorie, the styling for their new car was from their body supplier Briggs. It represented a departure from the more staid and traditional designs and moved predominately into the then-popular theme of Art Deco, which the paint on this car is significant of.
The 1937 Ford ushered in some new styling trends. Gone were the traditional stand-up headlights having been replaced with headlights that were blended into the contours of the front fenders. The front grille and fascia were now distinctly different for the Standard and Deluxe Models. This 1937 Ford has an All Steel Body - in lieu of the modern fiberglass replicas!
