1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Hardtop- VERY LOW RESERVE PRICE UNDER $1, 500
The car starts, runs and drives.
New- all 4 tires- approx. 1 year old with little wear
Reconditioned radiator
Rebuilt carburetor and new air cleaner
Rebuilt starter- professionally by manasquan generator. Jan 5th 2016
New- fuel tank and clear fuel filter
New- sending unit
2- Fender skirts for rear wheels
All 4 original Thunderbird Hubcaps.
New Fan Clutch.Battery several years old, working condition, on battery tender through winter.
Exhaust system from exhaust headers(not including headers) back replaced approx. 2 years ago
Both original door panels included with sale (only 1 pictured)
Aftermarket Rear Air Shocks, reinforced with steel plate at upper mounting points
It has sequential tail lights and working swing away steering column.
It has not been registered since 1977.
It has a noisy rear differential and will need to be rebuilt.
Previous owner replaced some brake cylinders and hoses. Brakes feel spongy but don't go all the way to the floor. Will need to be gone through and bled.
Floor pans appeared to have been patched 10 + years ago, not professionally done, decent repair.
I started to replace the vacuum lines, one at a time, that lead to the vacuum manifold under the dash. I also ran new vacuum line between the motor and the vacuum reservoir in the front right fender.
Sequential taillights do not currently work, all relays present, not tested.
Power window motors can be energized with a power probe but do not actuate windows, needs gears replaced.Car originally had A/C but does not currently have a A/C compressor.Heat/ Air conditioning blower works and is 3 speed adjustable.Windshield wipers work.
All interior trim pieces are inside the car and center console kick panels are in the trunk as well as overhead console with switches.
I also have the electric switch cluster from the center console for the power windows- used and all 4 switches show continuity on a multimeter.
Car is stored indoors.Car will be stored outside under weather proof cover after March 03, 2016
