Up for sale is my 1996 Geo Metro.
I bought this vehicle 10-06-13 with 106, 228 miles on it. since then I have made many improvements to the car and replaced various components with brand new ones which I will list here. I am willing to ship this vehicle at your cost but will assist the company when they come to pick it up. I am located in the zip code 60521 and local pick up is always free. Reached a high of 32 MPG with an average of 29 MPG. Great saver on gas and the economy. The power steering system is the best I have ever driven. It is like butter turning the wheel. Heater is hot during the winter seasons. Just repainted all oil pans and valve cover chevy red. Car is pretty clean for a 1996 vehicle. Installed radio with aux, cd, and usb port. Installed subwoofers. The tires run great and suspension is just fine. No OBD 2 codes. Cleaned exhaust manifold using electricity to remove all rust and then painted with a primer (VHT black is started to flake after it was put on :(. Brand new battery.

The not so swell:
The side mirrors are held on by one screw and glue. I replaced them twice and have the extra side mirrors just chilling cause these female fittings snap. However, they can hold their own. I replaced the window regulator but the driver's side window will not close correctly. If I understand correctly these cars are known for this and is how the old regulator was broken, by trying to jam it up into its place. I lubed the regulator so it slides nice just take it easy once it reaches the top. I hit a bumper on the passenger side and replaced the light bezel but left an indent on the fender (shown in picture). Car idles high when shifting into park. I dont know what causes this so I dont really know how to fix it. I just found out that the car leaks coolant slowly but the head gasket is in tack (see blue hydrocarbon test picture). I just put in new anti-freeze today so the car runs nice and cold though. The driver's side CV axle will need to be replaced. The brakes start hard but once the car runs they work great. Sometimes the brake booster hisses and the driver side brake pad makes noise but that is it. AC does not work. I dont know whats wrong but all necessary parts are there. The AC/Heater console does not light up, just a burnt out bulb. Rear wheel wells were rusted. Removed rust and replaced with bondo. I did not do a perfect job but it looks ok (see pictures).
All in all this would be a perfect first timer car or someone that would want to get into being a mechanic. I am willing to negotiate and talk prices just email me.
