This is an original California pickup, owned by a women rancher in Santa Barbara.
I was told this truck had made deliveries up the long and winding hill to Hearst Castle.
It is a original black plate heavy duty ¾ ton pickup with a rare custom “Woody Bed” !!
You can easily add a hooped canvas top if you wish ! Very Very cool.
CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE W MATCHING BLACK PLATE .
4 speed on the floor with it’s original inline 6 cylinder motor.
It was dry stored in a barn in Santa Barbara and was rediscovered last year.
Santa’s Helper had of money was spent on him..got new paint and interior, new battery, and all new wood.
It also received new tires, fuel lines and filter, shocks, new rubber and window seals and windows, brakes gone through ect. The motor has not been rebuilt and is still all original, the truck runs and drives.
The original mechanical fuel pump still works, but a new electric fuel pump was added for measure anyway. You could use whichever you wish.
Original Hubcaps were missing, but prongs are on wheels for new ones to be added.
I am unsure of the exact miles as the speedo is not working, so I kept the original gauges…the other guage is working.
This is a really unique and beautiful truck … a heavy duty ¾ ton GMC 5 window with 8 bolt wheels but has a shorter “wood bed !!!! I can see Steve Mcqueen driving this truck.
